By the end of 2017, mobile travel spend is expected to surpass $75 Billion dollars. Despite this massive opportunity, brands are struggling to capture users during these micro moments when they are ready with intent to complete a mobile travel booking. For example, 46% of travelers who conduct travel research on their phone move to another device to actually complete the booking.
It doesn't have to be this way. Why has the travel industry faced such challenges when it comes to guiding users to complete their mobile travel journeys? And exactly how can businesses begin to capture their share of mobile travel revenue, and stop leaving millions on the table?
Our very own Mike Dudas, Button's Co-Founder and CRO, took the stage at Phocuswright on Tuesday to dive deeper into the challenges and explore the opportunities mobile travel presents. Phocuswright, travel's premier event, brought together an esteemed group including TripAdvisor, Booking.com, Skyscanner, and more. Topics ranged from travel innovation, to Asia Pacific traveler trends, and featured Mike's talk which discussed optimizing metasearch for mobile.
If you weren't able to make it to the conference, check out his presentation below and let us know what you think!
