It's been an exciting summer at Button! Today we were chosen as one of the top 25 Best Workplaces in New York by Fortune and consulting firm Great Place to Work. As Fortune puts it, "while many New York workplaces may have high-performance cultures, the leading employers also have surprisingly caring environments defined by thriving friendships among employees"— we certainly find that to be true at Button! And you may recall last month we were also highlighted by Inc. Magazine as one of the Top 50 Best Workplaces in U.S.
New York is an incredible place to build a company, and we've been able to build a team of spectacular talent because of it. The Best Workplaces in New York list considered 137,000 employee surveys about the organizations' culture, leadership, benefits and other factors crucial to an outstanding employee experience, proving that high performance businesses can also be friendly, collaborative workplaces. In looking at the data, our entire company feels strongly about the culture we've built: they feel people care about them at the company; people here are willing to give extra to get the job done; and that we have great bosses, challenges, rewards, and communication throughout.
"These ratings measure its capacity to earn its own employees' trust and create a great workplace— critical metrics that anyone considering working for or doing business with Button should take into account as an indicator of high performance."— Kim Peters, Executive Vice President of Great Place to Work's Certification Program
We're proud to have created a culture and environment that fosters learning and empowers our team to make an impact. Whether it's a retreat up in the Catskills for some cross-team collaboration, our unlimited vacation policy to get away as needed (and a $1,000 travel stipend for families!), a monthly budget for testing out the newest apps and mobile services, or our 17 weeks of paid parental leave (for all parents), we're happy to support our employees lives both inside and outside the office.
"The Best Workplaces give themselves a competitive advantage over peers by creating an environment where trust, collaboration and innovation can thrive," said Michael Bush, CEO of Great Place to Work.
We're currently looking to add new members to a number of our teams including product engineering, marketing, sales, and operations. If you're looking for something new, up for a challenge, and interested in becoming part of the Button family, check out our latest positions we have open!
