We are excited to share that our very own Stephanie Mardell, Vice President of People, was honored as a top innovator at the 2nd annual Great Place to Work¬Æ For All™ Leadership Awards last night! She was one of 56 award recipients from companies like Salesforce, Workday, Cisco, EY, and Hilton on Fortune's annual list of the 100 Best Companies to Work For, 100 Best Workplaces for Women, 100 Best Workplaces for Diversity, and 150 Best Small and Medium Companies to Work For recognized for their contributions in building a workplace where every employee feels inspired to innovate. As the first employee tasked with building Button's People Team from scratch, Stephanie has developed, nurtured, and evolved Button into a place of admirable talent, culture, productivity, and growth. She grew our company from under 20 employees to over 100 employees in a little over three years with her meticulous, data-driven approach to people operations. Not only that, she has retained, supported, and promoted the growth of our team while simultaneously nurturing and scaling our culture to ensure that we're at our fullest potential at work every day.
Here are just some of the many amazing initiatives that Stephanie has championed at Button that have been instrumental in helping each of us grow as individuals and as a company: using data and processes to improve the candidate experience such as tracking our Time to Fill and pass-through rates to balance the quality, calibration, and effectiveness of our interview process, providing interview and team-building training for everyone, establishing a Growth Ladder framework that serves as a common language for managers and employees to talk about growth, offering communication and leadership workshops, hosting the Nourish Speaker Series that invites diverse perspectives into the office, making diversity and inclusion a core foundation of our workforce, and more.
