It's that time of year again— the International Performance Marketing Awards are in full swing. The awards recognize the very best in global performance marketing and celebrate innovation, creativity, and success within the industry.
As Robert Glazer, the Founder of Acceleration Partners points out, "The global Performance Marketing Awards offers a unique opportunity to recognize the top performers in the industry in an objective and independent manner. The categories have been well thought out and will highlight and recognize the best in the business on a global level for the first time."
Recently, the Shortlist was announced and we're pleased to share that Button has been nominated for 3 awards:
The team is particularly excited about the Industry Choice of Technology award as the winner will be selected by the industry. We'd love for you to vote for Button, and wanted to share a few high-level insights from our submission as to why you should!
Unlocking Mobile, The Fastest Growing Channel
As an industry built for the needs of desktop, the performance marketing space accounted for 16% of all orders across commerce channels in 2015— and it's only growing. However, that success and the respective technology has not translated to the growing mobile platform. Mobile commerce is growing 40% year-over-year and sales continue to hit record highs. Despite the significant opportunity and innovation progress, mobile is still a difficult challenge for brands to tackle as performance marketing wasn't made for mobile. The infrastructure of mobile was built differently than desktop; the pipes of mobile function in a unique manner for each piece, from mobile websites to mobile apps and different devices (Android, iOS etc.)— ultimately demanding a new solution for affiliation and tracking. And that's what Button provides.
The Button Marketplace has seen measurable success and tremendous growth since its founding in 2014. Over the last year, hundreds of millions in consumer mobile spending has been enabled through Button's technology and we're on pace to reach over $1Billion in sales in 2018. Button merchants saw an average purchase conversion rate of 25%— significantly higher than alternatives such as paid social and search, which see conversion rates of 1% and 4%, respectively.
We have helped transform the rewards industry for loyalty companies like Ibotta and Quidco, introducing the first complete mobile solution for loyalty and rewards businesses: Button for Rewards. This technology empowers a unique, positive user experience allowing Publishers to drive higher engagement and improve user retention.
Additionally, Button's segmentation product enables brands to target users based on purchase history to drive purchasing and the bottom line. With segmentation, part of Button's Personalization offerings, brands can offer larger rewards to users that are not yet their customers, which incentivizes over 35% higher average order values.
At Button, we recognize that mobile can be hard, and we're here to make it easy. The overview above is just a sample of what we're building. We hope we have your vote for the iPMA's Industry Choice of Technology Award!
