We’re thrilled to announce that Lauren Newman has joined Button as Chief Revenue Officer. With a career built on delivering exceptional results and shaping the future of digital commerce, Lauren brings unparalleled expertise to our team at a pivotal moment in Button’s journey.

About Lauren Newman

Lauren’s career is a masterclass in innovation and leadership. Before joining Button, she served as Executive Vice President of Media and Commerce at Red Ventures for CNET, where she successfully delivered a year-over-year EBITDA increase by 220% and oversaw the acquisition to Ziff Davis. While at Red Ventures, she pioneered one of the digital landscape’s most innovative implementations of retail media in a first-to-market partnership between CNET and Best Buy. Lauren also led creative partnerships in broadband, retail, and home security—creating high-performing marketplaces that drove both awareness and conversion.

“Cited by analysts and industry leaders as an example of the model of the future, Lauren’s retail media experience is perfect for Button’s ambitions to shape the future of this industry,” said Michael Jaconi, Co-Founder and CEO of Button.  “The model she built and the experiences she reshaped will serve as the foundation that retail media leaders aspire to deliver on, and with retail media as the fastest growing form of paid media in the history of the internet, we couldn’t be more excited to have Lauren on board to help chart our course.”

Earlier in her career, Lauren served as Senior Vice President of US Revenue at Skimlinks, during which time the company was acquired twice, first by Connexity and then by Taboola. She also held the position of President of Beauty at Time Inc., where she brokered major partnerships with top tier partners such as L’Oreal and P&G—building a reputation for fostering meaningful collaborations that deliver measurable impact.

“I have been on all sides of the business - publishing, media sales and performance marketing - and am thrilled to bring my experience to Button to revolutionize how our partners supercharge their commerce business, capitalize on direct traffic and tap into new sources of revenue”, says Newman.

Lauren’s deep expertise in revenue optimization, strategic partnerships, and mobile engagement is perfectly aligned with Button’s mission: to connect the dots between discovery and purchase, driving more value for brands, publishers, and consumers.

Button’s Strategic Growth

As Button expands partnerships and continues to provide innovation that is shifting the internet economy to something more performant, Lauren’s leadership will play a key role in achieving our goals. With billions of shopping trips running on Button in 2024 and record-breaking growth across the platform, Lauren is joining at a time when Button is perfectly positioned to drive incremental revenue, forge new strategic relationships, and expand our product offerings to deliver our vision for 2025 and beyond.

“Our mission at Button has always been to build a better internet fueled by commerce, and Lauren’s leadership will help us take this to the next level,” says Michael Jaconi, CEO of Button. “Her experience, vision, and energy are exactly what we need to propel Button’s growth and deliver even more value to our partners.”

The excitement is palpable across the Button team. We’re eager to collaborate with Lauren and continue building the future of mobile commerce together.
